Bare Bones

This is the room at the very beginning; still no doors on the closet. Yesterday I shampooed and steam-cleaned the carpet for 4 hours. By the end, the waste water had changed from a deep chocolate milk color to a slightly lighter Mississippi River brown. I'm working on it.

Those are my paint swatches laid out on the floor - I welcome color suggestions! Just hit the "comments" link below and I'll get it. I hope to paint Saturday.

Then again, maybe not.

You have a very nice wood color throughout the room. Make sure you incorporate it. And the color of that carpet, whatever it is when you finish cleaning it. You have a lot of options. Also, think in terms of "feel" of the room. Do you want it to reflect your bright and cheery disposition or the seriousness of your purpose? Do you want it to be calm or crazy? Remember, you will have to wake up to it every morning and work in it every day. I'm so jealous of you! This is exciting!

Hey little cousin!!! Just thought I would post a little note. I've been following your site for a while now just to try to keep up on what you're doing. I would love to keep in better contact with you, but I'm not sure I have your current email address or snail mail address (for updates on us and birthday cards -coming up soon for you:)) Anyway, you can reach me at shawnafind@gmail.com if you have time to write. I know you seem to keep pretty busy.

As far as room color goes, I kind-of like the bottom right yellowish color. I think it would be a nice contrast to your dark furniture and brighten up the room a little.

Love ya and hope to hear from you soon.

Your Texas cousin,
Shawna
