Paint's Done!

I finally chose a paint color, and it wasn't any of the ones I was looking at before. I ended up choosing "Pine Scent" because green is my favorite color and I will want the color of life to keep me alive during the long winter.

I still have some more work to do: hanging closet doors, moving up an antique dresser, and possibly hanging a hammock, but this gives you a general idea.

A few ideas....

Here are some ideas for colors that Behr paint's website magically tried on a digital picture of my room. I'm leaning towards the "Fall Leaves" (bottom right) or "Sahara Shade" (bottom left). Click on the pictures to get a closer view.

If none of these work out, I might just go for shock value:

Bare Bones

This is the room at the very beginning; still no doors on the closet. Yesterday I shampooed and steam-cleaned the carpet for 4 hours. By the end, the waste water had changed from a deep chocolate milk color to a slightly lighter Mississippi River brown. I'm working on it.
